(A) HAEMATOLOGY:
(a) Routine Examination of Peripheral Blood: Collection of blood fro patients, Preparation of blood films, Haemoglobin Estimation, Total count of blood corpuscles, Examination of stained film, Significance of Leucocytosis and Leucopoenia, Haematocrit (packed cell volume, PCV), Erythrocyte Sedimentation rate of RBC.
(b) Deficiency Anaemia, Haemolytic Anaemia, Aplitic Anaemia, Routine Haematological Examination in the diagnosis Anaemia.
(c) Myeloid Leukaemia, Lymphatic – Leukaemia, Monocytic Leukaemia
(d) Investigation of Haemorrhagic disorders: Defects and abnormalities in the extra vascular factors, in blood vessels.
(e) Laboratory tests of Haemolytic Disorders.
(f) Blood grouping.
(B) CLINICAL BIOCHEMISTRY:

(b) Determination of Constituents of blood, Ammonia in blood, Bilirubin, Calcium, Chloride, Creatinine, Idine(PBI), Nonprotein Nitrogen(NPN), Proteins, Potassium, Sodium, Sugar, Urea, Uric acid
(c) Thymol Turbidity test(Flocculation Test), Cephalin-cholesterol Flocculation Test, Determination of Transaminases (SGOT and SGPT), Lipase, 17 Ketp Steroids(Urine)
(C) BACTERIOLOGY and SEROLOGY:
(a) General Principles of Bacteriological Investigation.
(b) Blood / Stool / Urine culture, Whooping cough (Pertussis), Infected wounds, Common serological tests, Widal test, VDRL, L.E. Cell phenomenon.
(D) LABORATORY INVESTIGATION OF PARASITIC DISEASES :
Amoebiasis, Malaria, Leishmaniasis, Ascaris Lumbricoides, Enterobius vermiculris, Strongyloides, Echinococcus granules.

(F) Examination of Urine: Test for Mucus, Carbohydrates, Benedicts’ test
